Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of dmfx.video and the plugins sold on it. DMFX is a brand of Ayrakeen Tech Inc. ("we", "us"). By buying a plugin or using this site, you agree to these terms.

Buying

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, sales tax and VAT, and customer service inquiries about payment and returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Prices are shown in USD. After payment your license key is emailed to you and the plugin is available to download.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Your license

When you buy a plugin, you get a perpetual license for one person to use it. It does not expire and there is no subscription. You may:

• install and use it on every computer you personally work on;
• use it in personal and commercial work, and keep and sell everything you make with it.

You may not:

• share your license with other people, including coworkers or employees. A studio needs one license for each person who uses the plugin;
• resell, rent or publish your license key or the plugin files;
• remove, bypass or tamper with the license check;
• reverse engineer the plugin, except where the law allows it.

The plugin occasionally checks your key with us when After Effects starts. It keeps working offline for 45 days at a time, and not being able to reach us never stops a render. See Licensing for the details.

When a key stops working

We may revoke a license key that was refunded, charged back, bought fraudulently or shared in breach of these terms. A revoked key stops working in the plugin and can no longer download updates. If you think a key was revoked by mistake, email support@dmfx.video and we will look into it.

Updates and support

We fix bugs and release updates as we see fit. Support is by email at support@dmfx.video.

Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can find your keys on the keys page without signing in.

No warranty

The plugins and this site are provided "as is". We work hard to make them reliable, but we do not promise they will be error free or suit every purpose. Save your work and keep backups.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or missed deadlines. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the plugin the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not take away a license you have already bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States.
